DIY: Nature stamps add a personalized touch to dinner table

A great thing about cooking is sharing food and making memories with family and friends. Unique touches can take a mundane dinner and turn it into a memorable event, whether it's the ingredients in your dish or the place setting on your table.

Our project is super-easy but will add a personal touch by bringing nature to your setting. Stamping leaves and other greenery on fabric isn't new, but it is an easy way to add a personalized pop to your next dinner party.

What you'll need:

Napkin of your choice (Solid color is best)

Fresh picked leaves (or other fresh greenery)

Acrylic paint (or fabric paint markers)

Paint brush

A roller

Instructions:

Choose a piece of greenery (we used oak leaves). Place leaves on napkin to decide how you want to go forward with decoration. We chose to decorate just the corners of the napkins but there are no rules for this project so decorate as you see fit.

Paint the underside of leaf. The underside has all the veining and details that will make a better impression when the paint is transferred to material on napkin.

Place leaf paint-side down on your napkin.

Use a roller (either paint or a spare cooking roller) to transfer the paint from leaf to the napkin and let dry.

Repeat process until the napkin is fully decorated.
