OnePlus to release its first foldable phone in August

The highly anticipated first foldable phone from OnePlus is scheduled for

The highly anticipated first foldable phone from OnePlus is scheduled for release in the third quarter of this year, according to CEO Pete Lau.

The launch party for the OnePlus Fold is apparently scheduled for the first half of August in New York. This time places it close to Samsung's anticipated July 26 Samsung Unpacked events unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5.

Fortunately, the OnePlus Fold will be available everywhere, in contrast to other Chinese foldable, which were able to first only be sold in their home countries. Customers will therefore be able to purchase the gadget in the US, India, and every other nation where OnePlus does business.

It's interesting to note that rumors are claiming Oppo will release its Find N3 foldable in China at the same time. The Find N3's international version might perhaps be the OnePlus Fold.

If this information is accurate, we may expect the OnePlus Fold to have a 6.5-inch exterior screen with 1080p resolution and an 8-inch folding display with 2K resolution on the interior. Both monitors should have a fluid 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 CPU, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 memory are anticipated for the OnePlus Fold. Being released at the same time as Android 14 may be disappointing because it will run OxygenOS 13.1 and Android 13.

A 4,800 mAh battery with 80W cable charging capability, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 48 MP ultra-wide lens, a 32 MP periscope telephoto camera, and two 32 MP selfie cameras for each screen are among the other features.
