Donald Trump had a clumsy moment when he fumbled with the door of a truck and nearly took a spill in an embarrassing video from his latest publicity stunt involving garbage.
The 78-year-old ex-president, who's been ramping up his fiery rhetoric with terms like 'scum' while apparently battling to keep his rally crowds awake, certainly made an impression at his Green Bay event last night as he arrived in a garbage truck.
"250 million people are not garbage. I can tell you who the real garbage is but I won't say that," Trump told the press on the tarmac in Wisconsin, sporting a bright orange hi-vis vest. He then staggered towards the vehicle, missed the handle completely and almost fell over.
Struggling to find his footing, Trump couldn't get a proper grip on the handle, and after finally flinging the door open, he needed help to climb into the truck. This episode has raised eyebrows online about Trump's physical state.
The internet was quick to react with biting commentary. One baffled viewer tweeted after watching the clip: "Did he miss the door that was RIGHT in front of him?? Is everything okay with him?" Another added: "Trump misses the door handle twice and then almost falls over. Retweet widely," urging people to share the blunder far and wide.
A third observer joked: "Donald Trump can't open a door without stumbling. This is elder abuse."

The rally, to which Trump arrived late, featured an explanation from the former president that the bizarre garbage truck idea was a last-minute, spur-of-the-moment suggestion by his advisors, proposed just 30 minutes before landing, according to The-Express.com.
Trump told reporters: "I said I think it's ok but I don't feel comfortable wearing a suit...then they said, 'Sir we have a vest.' I said, 'Should I leave my suit on and put it over the vest? But that doesn't look very good'."
Trump went on to explain he feared getting up into a passenger seat that was so high, but was pleased to see a "beautiful" driver who looked like Cary Grant.
He told the crowd: "I said, 'Man this is bad as all the cameras are on me. I said, 'Oh man, if I don't get up there this will be very embarrassing."
Trump even confessed that people might accuse him of being "cognitively and physically impaired."
This spectacle followed Biden's response to recent comments made at a Trump rally in Madison Square Garden, where a comedian joked that Puerto Rico is a "floating island of garbage."
"The only garbage I see floating out there is his [Trump's] supporters," the president fired back during a Zoom call. In retaliation, Trump labelled Biden's reference to his supporters as a "disgrace."
He asked: "How do you like my garbage truck? This truck is in honour of Kamala and Joe Biden."
